At Sea Jay’s we teach students at their own pace, whilst making the training fun and enjoyable. No one is expected or asked to tackle anything outside their own comfort zone. Students are assessed for their strengths and weaknesses at the end of each day during an evening debrief. Our aim is to make sure that everyone is enjoying the experience.
Sea Jay’s are proud to be contracted by the Ministry of Defence for private sail training, and proud supporters of the Defence Discount Scheme and Bluelight Card for NHS, Police and emergency services.
As of the start of December 2016, Fiona Vander took up the opportunity to run Sea Jays Solent Sailing School.
With her infectious laughter and ever happy persona, Fiona decided that it was time to ‘spruce up’ the school ready for 2017. This includes focusing initially on our two yachts Sea Breeze and Sea Lily, which underwent a major refit programme. Her newly appointed Chief Instructor for Sail Cruising & Powerboat, Jamie Griffin, has joined Fiona and is busy turning the school plans into reality and giving the best on the water tuition as possible.
We are going to be upgrading and changing lots of parts of our business, even as far as a smart sailing kit for our instructors, and we will be offering more courses with more availability’
For more information about the exciting changes call Fiona or email us on the details below – we can’t wait to hear from old and new friends.

I’ll definitely be recommending Seajays to any interested friends… … “Andrew Halliwell”

I had a great week on the day skipper course. Gareth is a great teacher patient but demands high standards. Thanks again to him. The boat was great. Learnt a lot despite the other world distractions. Lymington is a great springboard for sailing. Would be happy to recommend.
I have just finished my coastal skipper aboard Seajay IV with Jamie. I have to thank you all for an amazing course and what an amazing week popping over to France then loads of technical sailing back here in the Solent. Jamie is an incredible instructor and has taken me from comp crew in February this year, to day skipper… … “Graham Ward”
A short message to say what a great time we had over the past two days with Edwin. He was very encouraging, informative and patient, and made the two days great fun. Thanks, Sea Jays, Certificate received. Great course and Euan is an excellent instructor. Yacht very well equipped and really gets going above Force 4. Ran out of time yesterday to call into your office, but I will try and call in when I am next in Lymington, shouldn’t be long as the racing season gets underway soon.
Lymington is delightful Georgian market town, situated on the edge of the New Forest and the Solent. It is a sailing haven with its 3 marinas and its countless pubs and restaurants.
