RYA Coastal Skipper Sailing Course - Practical
The RYA Coastal Skipper Course is designed to give an experienced Day Skipper the confidence to undertake longer and
more difficult passages which may involve night sailing and watch keeping.

15 days sailing, 2 as skipper, 300 logged miles, 8 night hours. Knowledge of
navigation to RYA Coastal Skipper/Yachtmaster theory level |

Your instructor will guide you through preparation for sea, offshore navigation (including limited visibility), passage
planning, weather forecasting, heavy weather handling and watch keeping systems.
Each RYA Coastal Skipper student will be required to plan and execute a passage, taking complete command of the yacht. All students
will gain much valuable experience in general boat handling, including mooring and anchoring.
On completion of this course, you will receive the RYA Coastal Skipper Sailing Course Completion Certificate. You will be
able to confidently skipper coastal passages safely.
